The New Denver Civic Theatre

Located in the heart of the arts district on Santa Fe Drive, the Denver Civic Theatre is a unique arts complex supporting the Denver arts community. The complex offers two theatres, an art gallery and adjacent café space. The complex is designed to support a variety of events, from theatre or music and dance productions to private events and receptions. The mission of the Denver Civic Theatre is to “infuse world class artistic excitement into an already vibrant community.”denver_civic_center1.jpg

The Denver Civic Theatre was founded in 1985 by Henry Lowenstein, and the focus remains on providing a diverse array of creative and artistic experiences to the community. Emphasis is on contemporary and classic theatre, dance, fine arts, education and multicultural events. The Theatre is a vital cornerstone in the Santa Fe arts district. A true community theatre, doors are open 7 days a week. The Denver Civic Theatre contributes to the development of new theatrical works, encouraging new and established artists and performers as they develop original works.

The Denver Civic Theatre encourages other non-profit organizations to share the various spaces within the complex.
