Colorado Ballet

Founded in 1951 as a ballet school by Denver natives Freidann Parker and Lillian Covillo, today Colorado Ballet is a nationally recognized regional dance company. The first public performance of The Nutcracker in 1961 played to a sold-out audience in 1961, and the company has seen continued success ever since.Today Colorado Ballet is one of the foremost arts organizations in the area. The company is home to 31 professional dancers of national and international acclaim and 15 studio company dancers. Additionally, a $6.6 million operating budget, an expansive repertoire, and the Academies of Colorado Ballet, ensure that Colorado Ballet remains highly regarded and respected. The Colorado Ballet productions are presented at the Denver Performing Arts Complex.
Performances vary from the beauty of classical ballets to the debut of world premieres by internationally acclaimed choreographers. Every season features a rich repertoire guaranteed to entertain and delight the entire audience.
