Spruce up Your Home - Tip #2

Brighten it up!

Lighting is often overlooked, but it is an important part of any home decor.

under-counter_lighting.jpgInstall under-the-counter lighting for an easy and inexpensive way to brighten up a kitchen and change the way the lights hits the surface.  Keep open spaces next to windows and glass doors unblocked to let the light in.   Make sure there are no bushes obstructing the light.   If your home does not receive much natural light, install more lighting.  Don’t waste time on floor lamps, instead, look into recessed lighting or new wall light fixtures.

Light filtering through slightly drawn wooden blinds offers a hazy look to your windows and the way the sun reflects off the wood can give a bright lovely glow to your home.
